The purpose of Open Hearts is to usher in the Kingdom of God on earth as it is in Heaven. We preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, feed the hungry, heal the sick, cloth the naked, and provide education. All with the hope that people might "See these good works and glorify our Father in Heaven. We work heavily in La Chureca (the Managua City dump) which is a community strife with poverty, prostitution, drug addiction, abuse and tremendous suffering. Open Hearts runs a primary school in the middle of the dump community that gives free education and meals to 350 students. We run week long Christian camps for the under privileged at Lake Nicaragua. We are church planting along the Rio Coco with the Miskito Indians and in Rio Blanco.Events, Trainings, or Orientation Dates

Opportunities & Needs
Year round, we host church term missions that do a variety of construction, medical, evangelism and pastoral training. We also have a summer discipleship/missions program for individuals. UBC helped buy a house of refuge for young girls escaping from forced prostitution. This has been a huge project and God has blessed it. We also hosted UBC's first medical team in Rio Blanco and look forward to our teams in 2008.Journal
